Memes and Mashups have really became mainstream in this era.
Every time I scroll through my timeline either Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter
I will see a new version of a baby crying, or a guy getting punched in the
face. It really amazes me how everyone participates and create their own meme
by revising someone else’s work. I can remember when I saw my first version of
a meme and really didn’t under stand it, It was a Wednesday and I saw this girl
post a picture at her job with a camel drawn in. I didn’t really understand it
until everyone started posting these pictures on Wednesdays. The reason for
them posting it was for hump day during the weekday. After that I began to see
multiple pictures being revised and edited. There is one particular that I have
seen more than enough different varieties of is a picture of a young male in a
country dancing and expressing a lot of happiness.
In this particular meme on the left is an original photo taken of the African boy dancing. In the right, it is a picture of an adult male, Lebron James, doing a similar dance. The whole purpose of this video is to go with a famous song by the rapper drake "Started From the Bottom" that has had its share of participatory culture.
This meme here is showing emotions of excitement. Most of the time when people are getting ready to eat food they begin to feel happy, and in this case KFC will be good enough for their happiness.
Below is referring to a movie with multiple sequels "Step Up" This movie has hit the block because of its incredible display of dancing. Obviously the children are dancing in this video.
